Yeah, the error code does point directly to the rain-light sensor. I'm just trying to figure out if it's a simple replacement job or if there's more to it. Is there any calibration needed afterwards?

Given the error code and symptoms, the sensor itself is likely the culprit. Calibration might be necessary after replacement. You could try replacing it yourself, but a workshop visit is advisable to ensure proper coding.

Thanks for the input! Turns out it was indeed bubbles under the gel pad as suspected. Got the sensor replaced and recalibrated at the shop. Cost me 62€, but everything is working fine again.

That sounds like a faulty rain-light sensor indeed. Does the error code point specifically to that sensor?
