Orlando exhaust pressure sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Orlando diesel is experiencing reduced power, a warning light, smoke during acceleration, and a bad smell, potentially due to low exhaust pressure. The issue may be linked to a faulty exhaust back pressure sensor. It is recommended to have a professional workshop diagnose and confirm the problem, as replacing the sensor can resolve the symptoms and improve vehicle performance.

Exhaust back pressure sensor? Where is that even located? And how would I know if that's really the problem?

The sensor is part of the exhaust system, and while you could try to diagnose it yourself, I would recommend taking it to a workshop. They can confirm if the sensor is defective. It could save you time and effort.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to a shop, and you were right, it was the exhaust back pressure sensor. Cost me 245€ to get it fixed. Runs much better now.

I had a similar issue with my Chevrolet Orlando. Is the exhaust back pressure sensor the culprit, perhaps? The symptoms you describe seem to match. Have you checked that?
