(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Toyota Corolla is experiencing overheating issues, suspected to be related to the cooling air flap system. A similar problem in a 2015 Toyota Yaris was caused by a faulty wiring harness of the radiator shutter, which was replaced to resolve the issue. Ha, that sounds almost exactly like my problem! Can you still remember the costs you incurred back then? And have there been any further problems since then or was that it? Thanks in advance and best regards!

Hi, sure, I still remember the cost. It cost 270€ to replace the wiring harness of the radiator shutter, which was rubbed open behind the bumper. But since the garage repaired it, the cooling air flap system has been working perfectly again! To my surprise, I haven't had any further problems since then. So, I'd say it was worth it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it turns out the same for you! Greetings back!

Great, that sounds very promising! I'll probably go to the garage and have the wiring harness checked. Your information really helps me and I hope that it works as well for me as it did for you. Thank you very much and have a nice day! See you then!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2015 Toyota Yaris, it turned out that the wiring harness of the radiator shutter was faulty/rubbed up behind the bumper. The cooling air flap system was therefore impaired, which caused my car to overheat. At the time, the garage replaced the wiring harness, checked the system and ran some tests to make sure everything was working properly again. It was a serious problem, but luckily my garage had the necessary expertise to solve it. Hopefully my experience will help you a little! Regards!
