Yo, thanks for the brilliant inputs! It never even crossed my mind that it could be a wiring harness issue. I seriously appreciate your advice! On another note, could you jog your memory for a sec and let me know how much the repair ended up costing you? And ever since you got it fixed, did any other problems pop up related to this? Cheers!

Hey, no problem at all, glad I could help out. So, if we're talking expenses, my mechanic charged me 110€ to mend the wiring harness damage. Everything included, no additional costs. But keep in mind that prices can sometimes differ depending on where you live or who's doing the work. As far as recurring problems go, since that mechanic visit, it's been smooth sailing. The coolant thermostat malfunction that was driving me nuts got sorted too. So, yep, fixed the wiring harness and boom! Problem solved. The old Ateca's humming just like the good old days. Touch wood, it stays this way! I hope your Tarraco gets back to its glory days soon too, bud. Good luck and keep me posted, will ya?

Cheers! I appreciate you getting back so quickly with those details! It's definitely a relief to know it's a fixable situation and won't cost an arm and a leg. I'll be sure to get my Tarraco checked for any potential wiring harness issues ASAP. Also, good to know your Ateca's been in top shape since your little detour to the mechanic. Fingers crossed, my old girl will follow suit. I'll definitely keep you posted about how everything pans out. Appreciate the help and advice. Stay safe and take care.

Hey there, I fully get what you're going through. Just last year, I had some pretty similar symptoms with my 2015 Seat Ateca. Coolant issues were the first thing to cross my mind as well, but boy was I wrong. It turned out to be damage to the wiring harness. Just like your Tarraco, my Ateca started overheating and triggering the check engine light like crazy. After having it checked out at the garage, we figured out that the wiring harness had been damaged. It was causing all sorts of trouble, disrupting electrical flows to many key components of the engine, including the thermostat. It was definitely a serious issue because it could have caused a lot of internal damage if left unattended. Fortunately, once the wiring harness was sorted out, the overheating and check engine light stop right away. So yeah, just don't rule out the wiring harness, you never know. Best of luck with it.
