Overheating Issue in 2021 Fiat Argo: Possible Cooling Air Flap System Failure

Hey, I had a similar issue with my 2018 Fiat Punto with roughly the same mileage as yours. Turns out the wiring harness for the radiator shutter was worn out and tucked behind the bumper which caused similar overheating problems. It's part of the active grille shutter system that adjusts airflow for better engine temp control. Mechanic had to take the whole front end apart, bumper off, and pull out the grille to properly fix it. It was quite an ordeal, but definitely worth it to prevent further engine damage. Seems like a pain, but it's a necessary evil to protect our Fiats, innit? Don't let my experience freak you out though, it could be a different issue on your ride. However, wouldn't hurt to have it checked given the same symptoms. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Hey again, Yeah, it was a pretty big operation, that's for sure! But, good news, since that massive fix, I haven't had any problems related to it again. As for the price tag, they hit me with a bill of 270€. But don't wince just yet! They had to remove the bumper and replace the worn wiring harness for the radiator shutter. Bit of an ouch to the wallet, but it was absolutely worth it for the peace of mind. So, it wound up being a one-time fix, no headache afterwards.
