Hey there. Thanks heaps for the heads-up. Sounds like your Punto had quite the surgery! My worries are a little less knowing it's not as dreadful as I thought it might be. Just curious, do you recall how much the big fix cost you back then? And have you faced any similar trouble since? Look forward to hearing from your experience. Cheers!

Hey again, Yeah, it was a pretty big operation, that's for sure! But, good news, since that massive fix, I haven't had any problems related to it again. As for the price tag, they hit me with a bill of 270€. But don't wince just yet! They had to remove the bumper and replace the worn wiring harness for the radiator shutter. Bit of an ouch to the wallet, but it was absolutely worth it for the peace of mind. So, it wound up being a one-time fix, no headache afterwards. And as I always say, better safe than sorry with our rides. Cheers!

Hey, really appreciate the detailed info! 270€ does sound a bit steep but I definitely get what you mean. Peace of mind and a smoothly running car is worth it. I'll get my Argo checked out with this new knowledge. Really hope it's a similar one-time fix as well. You've been a great help. Cheers!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my 2018 Fiat Punto with roughly the same mileage as yours. Turns out the wiring harness for the radiator shutter was worn out and tucked behind the bumper which caused similar overheating problems. It's part of the active grille shutter system that adjusts airflow for better engine temp control. Mechanic had to take the whole front end apart, bumper off, and pull out the grille to properly fix it. It was quite an ordeal, but definitely worth it to prevent further engine damage. Seems like a pain, but it's a necessary evil to protect our Fiats, innit? Don't let my experience freak you out though, it could be a different issue on your ride. However, wouldn't hurt to have it checked given the same symptoms. Hope this helps. Cheers!
