Overheating problem and illuminated check engine light on 2003 BMW 3 Series - Possible problem with the coolant temperature sensor?

Hello everyone! I currently have a small problem with my 2003 BMW 3 Series petrol engine, which is struggling with overheating and the check engine light is constantly on. I suspect that the coolant temperature sensor could be to blame. Does anyone have any experience with this and could perhaps tell me how it was fixed in the workshop? Any help is welcome. Thank you!

These error codes are related to the seat occupancy sensor and seat belt tensioner. It's possible that during the seat change, the connections for these systems were not properly reconnected or the new seats may not have the correct sensors installed. I would recommend checking the wiring under the seats to ensure everything is properly connected. If the problem persists, you may need to have the seat occupancy sensor and seat belt tensioner checked by a professional. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Hello, I currently have a passenger belt pretensioner problem, At least that's what the diag ( Carly ) tells me. I shinter the tablecloth of the passenger seat, Which detects if there is someone on the seat, Replaced the pretensioner but still the same fault code. Do you have any advice? Thanks

It sounds like you've already done some troubleshooting. If you've replaced the pretensioner and the seat occupancy sensor (the "tablecloth" you mentioned), and you're still getting the same fault code, there might be an issue with the wiring or the control module. I would recommend checking the wiring for any signs of damage or loose connections. If the wiring looks good, you might need to have the control module checked by a professional. Please let us know how it goes.
