Palio audio system silent
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Fiat Palio experienced a complete audio system failure, with no sound output. Initial checks on volume control and input sources did not resolve the issue. A suggestion to inspect the bass speaker revealed it as the cause of the problem. Replacing the defective bass speaker restored the audio system's functionality.

The bass speaker, you say? Is that a common point of failure? I hadn't considered it, as I assumed a blown speaker would at least produce some distortion or crackling, not complete silence. Worth investigating, I suppose?

Yes, it is. My experience suggests that a defective bass speaker may cause a complete audio system malfunction. Have you considered taking it to a workshop?

Thanks for the suggestion. It turned out you were right. The defective bass speaker was indeed the culprit. Had to replace it, which cost me 280€. Appreciate the insight!

I have a Palio as well, though I'm not sure about the build year. I recall having similar audio connectivity issues. Did you check the bass speaker?
