I'm having trouble with my 2011 Fiat Palio diesel. It has 223944 km. My fuel consumption has increased, and it's getting harder to start. I checked the engine idle and throttle position. Could it be a defective throttle valve?

I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the accelerator pedal module was defective. The repair was 205€, including parts and labor. Replacing it fixed the fuel consumption and starting issues. Thanks!
