Palisade Blower Motor and AUC Sensor Fault

Alright, Hyundai gurus, I'm tearing my hair out! My 2019 Hyundai Palisade with the gasoline engine is throwing me for a loop. The blower motor is completely dead. My scanner says it's an AUC sensor fault (59923 km on the clock, if that matters). I'm thinking climate control, but where do I even start checking on this beast?

Summary of the thread

A 2019 Hyundai Palisade owner is experiencing a non-functional blower motor and an AUC sensor fault. The issue may be related to a defective or loose connection in the AUC sensor, affecting the climate control system. Checking the sensor's cable and plug connections is suggested as a first step. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by fixing a defective sensor cable, costing 95€.

The AUC sensor fault on your Palisade could definitely be the culprit, especially with the blower motor not working. Before digging too deep, have you checked the cable and plug connection of the AUC sensor itself? A defective or loose connection there can cause all sorts of havoc. Also, is the auto recirculation behaving erratically, or is it completely unresponsive?

Good call on the connections – I'll definitely give those a once-over. As for the auto recirculation, I can't really tell since the blower motor is dead, so no air is coming out anyway. Is there a specific way to test the sensor connection or any common spots where the wiring chafes on these things?

Given that the blower motor is entirely non-functional and you're getting an AUC sensor fault, and you can't test the auto recirculation, it strongly points to an issue with the sensor or its wiring. While checking the connections is a good first step, without proper diagnostic tools, pinpointing the exact location of a short or break in the wiring harness can be difficult. At this point, it may be best to visit a workshop.

Okay, that's what I was afraid of. Sounds like it's beyond my driveway mechanic skills! I'll book it in for a proper diagnosis. Turns out the sensor cable was indeed defective, all fixed for 95€! Thanks for the advice!
