You also experienced a complete failure of the electronic parking brake? Was the error the same?

Yes, that's right. The electronic parking brake was completely non-functional. Considering the expense, I wouldn't advise DIY work on the brakes. Have you considered getting a quote from a workshop?

I appreciate the confirmation. Diagnosis aligns with your experience; the parking brake motor was indeed defective. Repair cost came to 505€. Thanks for your input.

Sounds familiar! I have a Palisade and had a similar electronic parking brake issue not too long ago. Warning light and all. Was the brake sensor acting up?
