Palisade Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Hyundai Palisade owner experienced a warning light related to the engine oil temperature sensor, with the oil pressure warning lamp lighting up intermittently. Despite the oil level being fine, the issue was suspected to be a faulty sensor or a loose connection. Upon checking, a loose connection on the sensor plug was found and fixed, resolving the warning light issue and clearing the error code.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the wiring and plug connection yet. Where exactly is the sensor located, and is it easy to access on the Palisade?

On my Volvo the sensor was located near the oil filter housing, but I am not sure where it is located in your Hyundai. Given the symptoms and the error code, and without knowing the exact location, my cautious advice is to take it to a workshop to be diagnosed properly, because it could be a defective cable or plug connection. It could save you time and potential further issues.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I checked the wiring, as you suggested, and I noticed a loose connection on the sensor plug. I cleaned it up, plugged it back in securely, and the warning lights disappeared. Diagnostics no longer shows the error. I went to the workshop and after the repair that cost me 95€ everything seems to be back to normal!

I had a similar issue with my old Volvo XC60. The symptoms you're describing sound very much like a faulty engine oil temperature sensor. The error code and the oil pressure warning light are strong indicators. Have you checked the wiring and plug connection to the sensor itself? A loose or corroded connection can cause these kinds of problems.
