Palisade engine power loss
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Hyundai Palisade experienced a significant engine power loss and a check engine light, with a fault code detected by a basic scanner. The issue was traced back to a faulty aftermarket chip tuning, which was causing the problem. The suggested solution was to take the vehicle to a workshop to diagnose and potentially undo the tuning. After resetting the tuning, the vehicle's performance improved.

Chip tuning? Yeah, I did get that done a few months back by a third-party provider. Why do you ask?

That's likely the culprit. A faulty chip tuning can mess with the car's computer and cause those symptoms. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get a diagnostic and potentially undo the tuning.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. The aftermarket chip tuning was indeed faulty. They reset everything and charged me 180€. Running much better now!

I had something similar happen with my Palisade. Did you recently get any aftermarket work done, like chip tuning?
