Palisade Exhaust Flap Error
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Hyundai Palisade with a gasoline engine is experiencing a loud noise on startup, attributed to an exhaust flap error. The issue is suspected to be a faulty exhaust flap actuator, confirmed by an error code. The suggested solution is to have the exhaust flap inspected and potentially replaced by a professional, which resolved the problem and restored normal engine operation.

The code I'm pulling points directly to the exhaust flap actuator. Did yours throw the same code, or was it something more ambiguous?

Mine was similar, but honestly, I just took it to the workshop. Turned out to be a defective exhaust flap. They replaced it, and the noise vanished. Probably worth having them take a look. I wouldn't mess with the exhaust system myself.

Appreciate the advice. Took your word for it and brought it in. You were spot on it was a faulty exhaust flap. Cost me 190€ for the repair, but the noise is gone, and the engine's running smooth again. Thanks for steering me in the right direction!

I had something similar happen, though I can't say if it's the same flap motor. What error code are you getting exactly?
