My 2023 Hyundai Palisade with a gasoline engine is making a racket at 169293 km. Exhaust flaps are throwing an error, and it sounds like a monster truck on startup, way louder than usual when cold. I think it's the exhaust flap, but I'm open to ideas before I start tearing things apart. Anyone else wrestled with this?

I had something similar happen, though I can't say if it's the same flap motor. What error code are you getting exactly?

The code I'm pulling points directly to the exhaust flap actuator. Did yours throw the same code, or was it something more ambiguous?

Mine was similar, but honestly, I just took it to the workshop. Turned out to be a defective exhaust flap. They replaced it, and the noise vanished. Probably worth having them take a look. I wouldn't mess with the exhaust system myself.
