Partner ABS Lateral Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around an ABS light and system failure in a 2015 Peugeot Partner, with a diagnostic scan indicating a lateral acceleration sensor fault. The problem may stem from a faulty sensor or a defective control unit. A suggested solution is to have the control unit replaced, preferably by a professional workshop, as it may require specialized electronic skills.

Yes, the report says lateral acceleration sensor fault. The error code suggests the sensor itself has failed, or maybe the control module. Were you able to fix it yourself, or did you need a workshop?

If it's pinpointing the lateral sensor, that's pretty conclusive. My diagnostic was less specific, so I wasted some time. I had to take it to a workshop in the end. They said it was a faulty control unit linked to the sensor. With your specific error code, I wouldn't try DIY unless you're good with electronics. You're probably looking at a new or refurbished control unit.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Looks like a workshop visit is needed. I got a quote for about 1000€ to replace the control unit, including labor. Seems like the defective control unit is the problem. Thanks again, your advice helped me confirm the issue before committing to the repair.

I drive a Partner too. Sounds familiar. I had similar ABS light and system failure issues. It pointed to something with the stability control. Did your scan specifically say lateral acceleration sensor, or just a general ABS fault?
