Partner charge air temp sensor error

I've got a 2013 Peugeot Partner with a gasoline engine throwing a charge air temperature sensor error. The check engine light is on, and power is noticeably reduced. I'm also hearing a whistling noise, almost like a loud hissing when I accelerate. I scanned it, and the error is definitely stored. I've checked the sensor cable and plug, and while I can't see anything obvious, I suspect that's where the problem lies. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Interesting. I have a Partner as well and experienced something similar a while back. Reduced power and a weird whistling sound. Did you notice any temperature fluctuation on the gauge before the check engine light came on? Also, were there any other error codes stored besides the charge air temp sensor?

Good question. No, I didn't see any temperature gauge fluctuations. As for other error codes, no, the charge air temp sensor code is the only one showing up. What was the solution for your Partner when you had the issue?

Okay, just wanted to rule out a few things. In my case, the hissing sound became quite prominent, so I took it to a workshop. They confirmed a faulty connection at the sensor plug, just as you suspected. The fault was located, the cable repaired and everything was fine again.

That's really helpful. I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but it sounds like I should just bite the bullet and take it in. I appreciate you sharing your experience, it appears to be the same issue with mine and I got the final bill today: 95€. Cheers!
