Partner Corroded Wiring Issue

I'm having a strange issue with my 2015 Peugeot Partner gasoline. It has 249218 km on the clock. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, and the engine refuses to start. I suspect it's related to a Terminal 15 ignition positive interruption. I've checked some basic things, and I think it's possibly a defective cable or plug connection. Could it be a wiring harness issue, or perhaps the ignition switch itself? I'm trying to rule out the starter solenoid too. Has anyone experienced similar voltage drop issues or power supply problems? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Summary of the thread

A 2015 Peugeot Partner with 249,218 km is experiencing a no-start issue, suspected to be related to a Terminal 15 ignition positive interruption. The problem is potentially due to a defective cable, plug connection, or wiring harness issue. A similar case was resolved by identifying a corroded connector in the wiring loom near the battery. The solution involved locating and repairing the defective wiring harness, which successfully resolved the issue.

That sounds frustrating. I have a Partner, although a slightly older model. I had something similar happen a while back – complete no-start situation. In my case, it was a corroded connector in the wiring loom near the battery. Check the voltage at the starter when you try to crank it over, as I had almost no volts. Did you check the fuses? I hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick reply! The fuse was the first thing I checked. Your experience with the corroded connector gives me something more specific to look for. When you say 'near the battery', roughly where exactly? Was it part of the main wiring harness or a separate connector? And did the error message point you to that area, or was it more like a process of elimination?

Right near the battery, basically where the main cable loom splits. It was hidden under some of that protective wrapping, so not immediately visible. Error code didn't point directly at it; more of a 'general electrical fault' type thing. I'd suggest having a proper auto electrician or workshop take a look at it, unless you're really confident poking around wiring.

Ok, excellent. Thanks a lot for the detailed info! I appreciate you sharing your experience. It turns out the problem was exactly as you described; corroded wiring. My local mechanic located and repaired the defective wiring harness and charged me 95€. Problem solved!
