Partner engine losing power
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Peugeot Partner with a gasoline engine is experiencing power loss, sluggish performance, and increased fuel consumption, accompanied by a check engine light. The suspected cause is a faulty manifold pressure sensor, potentially due to a vacuum leak. A suggestion to check for vacuum leaks is made, and a smoke test at a workshop is recommended for accurate diagnosis. The issue is confirmed to be the manifold pressure sensor, caused by a vacuum leak, and is resolved by replacing the sensor and fixing the leak.

Vacuum leaks, huh? That's interesting. Where should I be looking, specifically? Any common spots on the Partner that are known to cause trouble?

Without proper tools, it's tricky to pinpoint the exact location. My mechanic found it after a smoke test. With those symptoms pointing to the manifold sensor and large vacuum leak, I suggest taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. It could save you time and money in the long run.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out it WAS the manifold pressure sensor, likely caused by a vacuum leak as you suspected. The workshop confirmed it. Got the sensor replaced and the leak fixed for 235€. Running much better now!

I had similar issues with my Partner, though I didn't check the mileage. Reduced power and the engine light were the first things I noticed. Did you happen to check for any vacuum leaks? A large one can definitely mess with the manifold pressure sensor readings.
