Indeed, the issue was intermittent and more noticeable during cold starts. Given the symptoms and mileage, a visit to a workshop for a thorough diagnosis is advisable.

I've experienced similar issues with my Partner. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the fuel filter heater? A defective connection there is a common culprit.
