Partner fuel filter heater issue

Hi, I'm having some trouble with my 2002 Peugeot Partner diesel. It's only done 55k km. I'm getting an error stored in the memory, plus reduced power and poor engine response. Fuel consumption is up and it idles roughly. Suspect the fuel filter heater, maybe a bad connection. Anyone seen this before?

Summary of the thread

A 2002 Peugeot Partner diesel with 55,000 km is experiencing reduced power, poor engine response, increased fuel consumption, and rough idling. The suspected cause is a faulty connection to the fuel filter heater. Checking and repairing the cable and plug connection resolved the issue, as confirmed by a workshop.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I've experienced similar issues with my Partner. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the fuel filter heater? A defective connection there is a common culprit.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the cable and plug connection. Was the problem intermittent, and did it also affect cold starts?

Indeed, the issue was intermittent and more noticeable during cold starts. Given the symptoms and mileage, a visit to a workshop for a thorough diagnosis is advisable.

You were spot on! It was the cable to the fuel filter heater. Workshop confirmed. Repair cost me 95€. Thanks for the help!
