Partner headlight switch issue

I'm having an electrical issue with my 2009 Peugeot Partner, gasoline engine, with 183745 km on the clock. The lights switch on randomly, and there's an error stored in the memory. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection related to the headlight switch. I did some basic checks, but I'm not sure where to go from here.

I had a similar lighting issue with my Peugeot Partner. It sounds like it could be the headlight switch itself or the wiring to it. Have you checked the dimmer switch? Problems there can also affect dashboard lights.

How exactly did you determine it was the light switch or wiring in your Partner? What steps did you take to diagnose it? I'm hesitant to start randomly replacing parts without knowing for sure.

I took it to a workshop for diagnosis as I didn't want to risk messing up the electrics. The technicians confirmed the problem was with the light switch, and after replacing it the car was ok

Okay, thanks for the advice. I think I'll just get it checked out by a professional. It looks like it will cost me about 95€ with the repairs. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to electrical problems.
