Partner parking heater fault

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the voltage yet, that's a good shout. Where exactly is the glow plug located on the Partner? And is it easy enough to get to?

Right, finding the exact location can be tricky. It's usually nestled somewhere near the auxiliary heater unit itself, but Peugeot's engine bay can be a maze. Access depends on your mechanical aptitude; some require specialized tools or dismantling nearby components. Given the error codes and your initial diagnosis, combined with my past experience, I'd highly recommend taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the fault (confirming it's truly the glow plug and not something else like the climate control module or the blower motor), and replace it safely. Think of it as preventative surgery to avoid a bigger problem down the line!

Thanks so much for your help! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on – faulty glow plug. Repair cost me around 440€, but at least it's sorted now.

Hello! I had a similar issue with my old Volvo V70. The auxiliary heater wouldn't activate and the error codes pointed towards a faulty glow plug. I wonder, have you checked the voltage reaching the glow plug? It could also be a wiring issue, like a corroded connector, preventing the heater from starting. A bit like a clogged artery stopping blood flow, you know?
