Hello everyone, I own a BMW E91 and I'm experiencing issues with the ABS/DSC system. Despite having a third-party mechanic check and replace both ABS sensor rings and sensors, the DSC/ABS lights remain on my dashboard. I recently swapped out the old DSC module with a fully functional, barely used one, but the issue persists. I've tried disconnecting the battery and clearing the codes, but they keep returning. Now, I'm receiving an error indicating that the VIN is incorrect and that the system needs recalibration. Is this a known issue when swapping out the DSC module? The seller mentioned that it might not need coding or calibration if the battery is disconnected long enough. Has anyone experienced this before or have any advice on how to resolve this? Thanks in advance!

It's possible that the DSC module needs to be coded to your vehicle's VIN and calibrated to work correctly with your car's systems. This is a common requirement when replacing control modules. I recommend visiting a BMW specialist or dealership to have the module properly coded and calibrated. This should resolve the VIN error and ensure the DSC/ABS system functions correctly. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
