Petra Blower Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Fiat Petra owner is experiencing a failure with the fresh air blower, which has completely stopped working. The issue is accompanied by an error code related to the blower. While initially suspecting a dead blower motor, another owner suggests checking the blower motor resistor, though complete airflow loss typically indicates a motor issue. The recommended course of action is to have the vehicle inspected by a mechanic to confirm the problem and proceed with necessary repairs.

Resistor, huh? I didn't even think of that. Well, no air at all, no matter what setting I choose on the fan speed. Does that still sound like the resistor? Also, how much was the repair?

Yeah, zero airflow sounds like more than just a resistor problem. The resistor usually only affects some of the fan speeds. If it's completely dead, it's likely the blower motor itself. I'd recommend getting it checked in a workshop. I had to pay 365€ for fixing it.

Thanks for the help! I appreciate it. I'll take it to the mechanic and see what they say. Hopefully it's just the motor and nothing else got fried!

I had something similar happen with my Petra. Same symptoms. Check the blower motor resistor before you go replacing the whole motor. Where you are getting airflow from?
