I've tried re-pairing several times, following the manual. The error code is vague, something about 'communication malfunction'. Could it be a deeper electrical problem?

Ah, 'communication malfunction'... yes, that sounds familiar. I spent ages fiddling with mine, convinced it was a simple fix. Eventually, I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. Best thing I did. They sorted it quickly.

Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop then. Just got it back, cost me 45€ for a new bluetooth receiver, everything works perfectly again!

That's odd. I had something similar with my 1007. Are you sure it's just a pairing issue? Electrical faults can be a nightmare on these cars. What exactly does the error memory say?
