Cheers for the quick reply! Which electrical connectors specifically are you referring to? And where is the temperature sensor located? I'm guessing it's not just a case of wiggling a wire?

The connectors on the back of the climate control panel itself, and the ones going to the blower motor resistor under the glove box. Check for corrosion or loose pins. As for the temperature sensor, it's usually near the blower motor housing. I spent way too long messing with mine. In the end, I took it to a workshop. Cost me about 95€ including labour, parts and tax, the error code was pointing to a defective cable or plug connection.

Right, I'll have a proper look at those connectors and the temperature sensor location tomorrow. Thanks for the heads-up about the workshop though; sounds like that might be the best bet if I can't sort it myself. At least I know what the price will be, thanks for your help!

Sounds familiar. I had something similar with my 1007. Have you checked the electrical connectors to the climate control unit and blower motor resistor? A dodgy connection there can cause all sorts of weirdness. Also, have you looked at the temperature sensor? If that's playing up, it could be throwing everything off. The power supply could also be the culprit.
