Interesting. I hadn't thought about the fuse box. Where exactly is the fuse for the cruise control located? And how would a dirty throttle body affect it?

On my Megane, the cruise control fuse was in the main fuse box under the steering wheel, but check your Peugeot's manual to be sure. As for the throttle body, if it's gunked up, it can mess with the engine's air intake, which the cruise control relies on for maintaining speed. Honestly, though, if the diagnostics are throwing up an error, you're probably best off taking it to a workshop. They'll be able to pinpoint the exact issue.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a mechanic, and you were right, it was a defective connection, a faulty system. They fixed the cable and the plug, and now cruise control works again. It cost me 95€.

I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane. The cruise control packed in and threw up an error code. It might sound obvious, but have you checked the fuse box? Sometimes a dodgy fuse can cause all sorts of weird electrical gremlins. Also, have you had the throttle body checked? A dirty or faulty throttle body can sometimes interfere with the cruise control system. Just a thought!
