Thanks for the quick reply! How would I check the fuel injectors? Is that something I can do myself, or is it best left to a professional? I'm a bit worried about messing something up.

While it might be possible to check them yourself with the right tools and knowledge, given the symptoms, it's really best to get it checked by a professional. A faulty injector can cause other problems if left unchecked. It sounds like you should head to a workshop.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to a mechanic, and you were spot on – it was a defective fuel injector. They replaced it, and it cost me 515€, but it's running smoothly again. Really appreciate your help!

Hello. I also own a Peugeot 1007, and those symptoms sound familiar. Have you checked the fuel injectors? A defective injector can definitely cause those issues, like the check engine light and jerking. I am not sure whether the diesel engine is different in that regard.
