I had a similar issue with my Peugeot 1007. The automatic locks went haywire. It could very well be the wiring harness or a bad connection somewhere. Have you checked the door latch itself? Sometimes that's the culprit.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly should I be looking on the door latch, and how can I tell if the wiring is faulty without taking everything apart?

Honestly, without proper tools and knowledge, diagnosing electrical issues can be tricky. I'd hate for you to cause more damage. Given the symptoms, and the fact it could be a defective cable, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. It could save you a lot of hassle and potential further damage.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a local mechanic, and it turned out to be a defective door contact signal due to a faulty wiring connection. Repair cost was 95€. All sorted now!
