Peugeot 1007 Overheating

My 2005 Peugeot 1007 diesel is overheating, mileage is 277991 km. The electric fan doesn't seem to be working right, which I think is the cause. I'm wondering if it's a bad cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this before?

I had a similar overheating problem with my 1007. Could the fan resistor be the problem instead of the cable? Has the fan stopped completely, or is it running at the wrong speed?

Thanks for the reply. How would I check if the fan resistor is faulty? And can the fan speed issue be easily diagnosed without special equipment?

I'm no expert, but it sounds like the fan resistor if the fan is working erratically. Without the right tools, electrical problems can be tricky to diagnose. I'd suggest a workshop. It'll probably be quicker.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop. It was a defective cable connection, like I thought. The repair cost 95€. Your input was appreciated.
