Peugeot 1007 Parking Aid Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Peugeot 1007 owner experienced a parking aid fault, with a diagnostic tool indicating an error. Initial checks showed no visible sensor damage. A suggestion was made to inspect the cable connections to the ultrasonic sensors, as they can corrode or become loose. The issue was resolved at a workshop, where a faulty wiring harness was identified and repaired.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the cable connections, just visually inspected the sensors. Where are the connections located? Are they easy to access without removing the bumper?

The connectors are usually behind the bumper, close to each sensor. Access can be tricky. It looks like the cable or plug connection is defective, so it aligns with what you see. If you are not comfortable doing it, a workshop can find and fix the problem. It sounds like you might want to take it to a workshop.

Okay, appreciate the advice. I ended up taking it to a local workshop. As you suggested, it was a faulty wiring harness. They charged me 95€ to fix it. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

It's a common issue. Before diving too deep, have you looked at the cable connections to the ultrasonic sensors? Sometimes, they corrode or become loose. Also, is your rearview camera working properly? They sometimes share wiring.
