Peugeot 1007 rough running

I'm having trouble with my Peugeot 1007, built in 2006, gasoline engine. It's got about 179,624 km on the clock. Recently, it's been starting poorly, fuel consumption has increased noticeably, and the engine power feels reduced. Additionally, the idling is uneven, and sometimes the engine even stalls. I suspect a defective injection nozzle, possibly due to clogging. Any ideas?

I own a Peugeot 1007 as well. The symptoms you describe align with issues I experienced some time ago. It sounds like you may have a misfire. Have you inspected the injection valves? A dirty injection valve is the most common cause.

Thanks for the quick response! When you had the problem, did the car also have higher emissions than normal? I'm just wondering if this could also be related.

Indeed, the emissions were also elevated. It is plausible that a faulty injection nozzle could lead to higher emissions. Considering the potential for further complications, I recommend consulting a qualified workshop for a diagnosis and repair.

Thank you for the helpful advice. I took it to a workshop, and indeed, it was a defective injection nozzle. The repair, including parts and labor, cost 515€. Now the car runs perfectly!
