Airbag light's on in my 2000 Peugeot 106, gasoline engine. Checked under the seats for loose connections, but everything seems fine. Mileage is 278233 km. Anyone else had this?

I had a similar issue with my 106. The airbag system can be quite sensitive. Faulty connections are a common cause.

Do you remember which connection caused your problem? I'd like to check that before taking it to a mechanic.

I don't recall the exact location. I'd suggest a professional diagnosis since airbags are crucial for safety. It might be a cable or plug connection, as you suspected. I paid around 95€ for the repair.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I'll book it in at a workshop to get it checked properly. Safety first!
