Peugeot 106 climate control issues

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2000 Peugeot 106 electric. The climate control panel isn't working. The diagnostic tool shows an error stored in the error memory. The heating output is too low, and the air conditioning system doesn't switch on. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I had almost the same issue on my 106, it drove me crazy! Error memory, low heating, AC refusing to cooperate... it was pointing towards a wiring harness issue to the control panel. Have you checked the blower motor resistor pack?

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't checked the blower motor resistor pack yet. Could a faulty resistor pack really cause all those symptoms at once? Is there any way to diagnose it without replacing it directly?

Yes, I had all those symptoms, exactly like you described. I messed around with the temperature sensor too, before giving in, thinking it was the culprit. In the end, I took it to a workshop. They confirmed the wiring issue and quoted 95€ for the repair. I think you should do the same.

Okay, thanks for confirming. It sounds like I'm heading in the same direction. I'll take it to a workshop for them to check the wiring. They fixed the cable connection, and indeed, the final cost was 95€. Everything works as expected. Appreciate the help!
