Peugeot 106 cruise control failure

My 2002 Peugeot 106 diesel, with almost 300k km, has a cruise control issue. The speedometer shows an error, the cruise control won't engage, and the error memory has stored something. Could it be a defective cable or plug?

That's odd. A cruise control issue on a 106? Is the fuse box okay? Have you checked that first? Sometimes it's the simplest things...

Fuse box? Where exactly should I be looking? And what would a blown fuse have to do with the cruise control?

Fuses are designed to protect circuits. A blown fuse could be related, depending on how Peugeot wired it. It's worth a look before diving into anything more complicated. Still, with that mileage, a dodgy connection somewhere isn't out of the question. Maybe just go to the workshop?

You were right about the connection. I took it to a shop, and they found a defective plug on the actuator cable. 95€ later, it's fixed! Thanks for the help!
