Peugeot 106 Diesel Starting Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Peugeot 106 diesel is experiencing starting difficulties, rough idling, stalling, and a check engine light, with a noted fuel pump error. The issue is suspected to be a faulty cable or plug connection. A similar case was resolved by repairing a corroded connector on the fuel pump wiring, which restored the vehicle's performance.

Interesting! Was it actually the pump itself, or something else in the fuel system, like a sensor or wiring?

I went to the workshop and they determined it was a defective cable or plug connection. I would suggest visiting your local garage.

Thanks for the info! It was indeed a corroded connector on the fuel pump wiring. A quick repair cost me 95€ and it runs perfectly now.

I also drive a 106. I had similar issues with starting problems and engine stalling, and it was also related to a fuel pump error.
