Peugeot 106 fuel flap issue
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Peugeot 106 experienced a fuel flap issue where the flap wouldn't release, and an error was logged, affecting other functions. The problem was suspected to be related to a defective linkage or actuator. After consulting with others who had similar issues, it was suggested that the actuator might be faulty. The vehicle was taken to a garage, where a faulty fuel flap actuator was diagnosed and repaired, resolving the issue.

Good shout, thanks. It seems to be electrical rather than cable, but I haven't had a chance to dig in yet. When you say similar, was it the same symptoms - no release, error code, other functions impacted?

Yes, exactly the same symptoms. I'd wager it's the actuator itself. Best get it to a workshop; fiddling with electrics can be dicey. It's likely more complex than a simple fuse, and you don't want to make it worse.

Appreciate the insight. Took it to a garage. They diagnosed it as a faulty fuel flap actuator, and the repair came to 210€. Problem solved.

I had something similar on my Peugeot 206. Fuel filler issues are a pain, aren't they? Was it a cable release or electric actuator on yours? Have you checked the release button or key fob? Maybe a fuse?
