Peugeot 106 Headlight Range Control Issue

In my case, it turned out to be a faulty sensor that controlled the headlight leveling. Have you checked the servomotors in the headlights themselves? They are responsible for the up and down movement, maybe one of them is defective. A defective servomotor can cause the described issues.

They're usually attached directly to the back of the headlight assembly. Unfortunately, testing them without proper tools can be tricky. You could try visually inspecting the electrical connectors for corrosion or damage, but beyond that, it's probably best to have a workshop take a look. I ended up having to do that with my Astra, and it saved me a lot of grief.
