Peugeot 106 Intermittent Starting Issue

Hey, having trouble with my 2000 Peugeot 106, gasoline engine. It sometimes won't start, and occasionally cuts out while driving. When it does run, it's really rough. Could a fuse be the problem?

Summary of the thread

A 2000 Peugeot 106 was experiencing intermittent starting issues and occasionally cutting out while driving, with rough running when operational. Initial suspicion was on a fuse, but further discussion suggested checking the ignition coil. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a faulty ignition switch, which was repaired, resolving the issue.

I had something similar happen with my 106. Have you checked the ignition coil? I had similar symptoms. Is the dashboard light acting weird?

Thanks for the idea. I haven't checked the ignition coil yet. The dashboard light seems normal, though. Could it still be the ignition coil?

It could be something else completely. But based on what you're saying, the ignition coil is a good place to start. Have you considered taking it to a shop?

Thanks for the help. Turns out it was the ignition switch itself. Got it fixed for 52€ and it's running great now.
