Thanks for the reply! Yeah, the whistling definitely seems to be coming from the intake manifold area. What exactly did you do to fix yours? Did you replace the pressure sensor itself, or was it just a loose connection?

In my case, I had the exact same symptoms you described. While it could be a loose connection as you suspected, I would highly advise taking your car to a workshop. They can accurately diagnose the issue. Messing with the turbo system without proper knowledge can be risky.

Thanks for the advice, I took it to the shop and they said it was indeed the boost pressure sensor, just like I thought. The cable connector was damaged! They replaced the sensor and fixed the connector, and the total cost was 95€. Runs like a dream now!

I had similar symptoms on my Peugeot 106. Does the whistling noise sound like it's coming from the intake manifold area? Also, have you checked the air intake for any obstructions or leaks? It might be worthwhile inspecting the turbo system components as well. A faulty pressure sensor can indeed cause those issues.
