Peugeot 106 low brake fluid

I am experiencing an issue with my 2000 Peugeot 106 Electric. I've noticed the brake fluid level is consistently low, and I'm getting strange feedback from the brake pedal. The car has 129460 km on it. Could this be related to worn brakes? It feels rather unsafe to drive like this.

Hey, that sounds dodgy! I had a similar issue with my old Renault Clio. The brake pedal felt weird, and the fluid was disappearing. Have you checked for any visible leaks around the master cylinder or brake lines?

Thanks for the quick reply! You mentioned the master cylinder. Was that the cause of the issue with your Clio, or was it something else entirely?

Yep, for me, the low fluid and spongy pedal pointed straight to the master cylinder. Ended up costing me a bit, but it sorted the problem. Honestly though, with brakes, you shouldn't take any chances. Get it checked by a professional.

Alright, I appreciate the insight. I'll take it to a workshop for a thorough brake inspection and possible fluid replacement. I suspected worn brakes to be the issue, but I was quoted 480€ for the repair. Thanks again!
