Peugeot 106 low heating output
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Peugeot 106 diesel was experiencing low heating output, with the heat barely warmer than ambient temperature. The issue was suspected to be a faulty water valve, potentially caused by a dodgy cable or plug connection. After checking the coolant level and confirming it was fine, the problem was identified as a defective water valve circuit, as indicated by an error code. Replacing the defective valve resolved the heating issue.

Coolant level is fine. How did you pinpoint the valve as the problem? Did you have the same symptoms and error codes?

Yep, exact same symptoms. Error code pointed to the water valve circuit. I'd get it checked in a workshop, probably just a defective valve. If so, a repair should be around 95€.

Thanks a lot for the help! Took it to the workshop, and as you said, the water valve was defective. Replaced it and all good now. Much appreciated!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my 106. Is the engine coolant level okay? A blocked valve could definitely be the culprit if it's not circulating properly.
