Peugeot 107 Alarm System Error

I've got a 2009 Peugeot 107 with a gasoline engine that's giving me some grief. The mileage is sitting at 175619 km. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory related to the alarm system. Basically, the alarm system isn't functioning at all. From what I've gathered, it seems like the most likely culprit is a defective cable or plug connection to the alarm controller. Has anyone else run into this? Any pointers before I start tearing things apart?

I had a similar problem with my 107. The alarm was acting up, throwing errors. Have you checked the connections to the alarm controller itself? Sometimes they can get loose or corroded.

Thanks for the tip! When you say connections to the alarm controller, are you talking about the main plug going into the unit, or are there other connections I should be looking for specifically?

Yep, I meant the main plug. In my case, wiggling it a bit seemed to temporarily fix it, but the problem came back. Ended up taking it to a workshop, and they confirmed a bad connection. Might be worth getting it checked out professionally.

Appreciate the confirmation. Sounds like a trip to the workshop is in order. I had it diagnosed and you were spot on. Ended up being a dodgy connection to the alarm controller. 95€ later and it's all sorted. Cheers!
