Peugeot 107 Crankshaft Sensor Issue

Hi, I'm having an issue with my 2011 Peugeot 107, gasoline engine, with 96233 km on the clock. The check engine light is on, and I've noticed reduced engine power, poor engine response, and higher fuel consumption. I had the error codes read, and it's showing a problem with the 'Crankshaft to camshaft reference value'. I suspect the crankshaft sensor may be defective. Any ideas?

Hey! I had something similar happen in my Peugeot 107. Is it struggling to maintain speed uphill? Did you check your cam sensor? Mine also had that camshaft/crankshaft timing issue.

Yes, it struggles a bit uphill. Where exactly is the cam sensor located, and is it easy to check? Is that what eventually fixed the issue for you?

Yeah, similar symptoms. For me it was all pointing to a faulty crankshaft sensor. I'm no expert to be honest, so I took it into a garage and they confirmed it. They sorted it out quickly, so worth a look at a workshop near you.

Thanks for your help! I took it to a trusted workshop, and you were right. It was the crankshaft sensor. Repair cost me 340€. All good now!
