Peugeot 107 Electric Steering Column Failure

My 2005 Peugeot 107 (gasoline engine) has a dead electric steering column adjustment. The error memory has a fault stored, so I can't adjust the steering column electrically. I suspect a cable or plug issue. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a similar issue with my 107. Have you checked the fuses? That's where I'd start. Is the power steering still working normally, or is that affected?

I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. The power steering itself is working perfectly; it's just the electric steering column adjustment that's stopped. Could it still be a fuse even if the power steering is okay?

It's unlikely to be a fuse if the power steering is unaffected. The garage traced my issue back to a faulty connection within the column itself. I'd advise taking it to a workshop; they'll be able to diagnose it properly. A defective cable or plug connection is a likely cause.

Okay, I appreciate the advice! I took it to the workshop, and as you suspected, it was a faulty connector. They repaired it for 95€, and everything is working again. Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction!
