Peugeot 107 Electrical Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Peugeot 107 diesel is experiencing sporadic electrical issues, with random error lights and malfunctions in the audio/navigation system. The problem might be related to a faulty control module affecting the BUS system. Suggested solutions include checking battery voltage, grounding points, and connectors near the ECU for corrosion or loose connections. Ultimately, the issue was traced to a defective cable connection to the BUS system, which was resolved at a cost.

Thanks! I checked the battery voltage and it seems fine. Where were the problem areas on your Megane's grounding points? Was it obvious, or did you have to dig around?

On the Megane, it was a corroded connector near the ECU – the Engine Control Unit. Check those connectors for corrosion or loose connections. Chasing electrical issues can be a nightmare. If you're not confident, take it to a workshop. They've got the proper diagnostic tools.

Thanks a million! I'll look at the ECU connectors, but you're right, probably best to take it in. It was a defective cable connection to the BUS system of the control unit. Cost me 155€ to get it sorted. Ouch, but at least it's fixed!

Sounds frustrating. I had similar issues with my old Renault Megane. Intermittent electrical problems are a pain. Did you check the basics, like battery voltage and grounding points? A weak battery can cause weirdness with modern car electronics.
