Peugeot 107 Fault Memory Lock Active

I've got a 2014 Peugeot 107, diesel engine, and I'm getting a weird error. The display says something about 'fault memory lock active'. I've only done 14344 km. The only symptom seems to be that there's an error stored in the error memory, according to the diagnostics tool. Any ideas?

I encountered a similar issue with my 107, without the specific 'lock' indication. The error memory consistently stored a fault. Have you observed any other anomalous behavior, such as intermittent electrical malfunctions or difficulty starting the engine? It would be useful to know if you've checked the battery voltage recently.

Thanks for the quick reply! No starting issues or anything else weird. Just the error code after running diagnostics. I haven't checked the battery voltage myself, no. Is that likely to be related even if the car seems to run fine?

Yes. In my case, the root cause was traced to undervoltage within the vehicle's electrical system. This can trigger spurious error codes within the ECU. While the vehicle may operate nominally, the stored fault can persist. Given the diagnostic information and your observations, I recommend a consultation with a qualified automotive technician for comprehensive ECU diagnostics. Ignoring the issue could lead to progressive damage.

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice. I took it to a shop, and you were right – it was the undervoltage thing. They cleared the fault and did some checks, cost me 240€. Appreciate the help!
