Peugeot 107 Overheating Check Engine Light

Hi, I have a 2006 Peugeot 107, diesel engine, and lately the check engine light has been coming on. The engine seems to be overheating more than usual, especially in traffic. Coolant level is fine. I'm thinking it might be related to the active air flap, maybe the electromechanism is defective? Anyone else had a similar issue?

Sounds familiar! I've got a 107 too. Had the same overheating and check engine light problem. Did you get a fault code read?

Yeah, sorry, should have mentioned that. The fault code points to a problem with the flap motor. Was it the same for you? What did you end up doing?

Yep, same fault code for me too. Honestly, after a bit of research, I just took it to a workshop. Messing with the cooling system felt a bit risky. Turned out to be the flap motor, like we suspected.

Thanks for the confirmation! I suspected as much. Looks like I'll be booking it into the workshop then. I'll let you know how it goes but I'm expecting around 590€. Thanks again for sharing your experience!
