Peugeot 107 poor starting
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Peugeot 107 diesel with 87,671 km is experiencing poor starting issues, suspected to be due to a heavily discharged battery. The problem might be caused by an interrupted terminal 30 continuous plus, a faulty alternator, or a parasitic electrical draw. The suggested solution is to check the charging system and, if necessary, visit a workshop to diagnose and fix the issue, which in this case was resolved by addressing the battery problem.

Thanks for the quick reply! How did you track down the parasitic draw? Is it something I can easily check myself or does it need special tools?

Well, I wasn't able to find the source of the issue myself. I brought it to a workshop, and they found an electrical fault that drained the battery overnight. I am no expert, but if you cannot find the issue, I would recommend a visit to a shop.

OK, thanks for the advice. I appreciate you sharing your experience. It was indeed a heavily discharged or defective battery that caused the starting problems. Repair cost was 290€. Going to a workshop was the solution!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my 107. Made me feel like I was starting a tractor instead of a car. Have you checked the charging system? Could be a bad alternator not keeping the battery topped up. Or even a parasitic draw somewhere.
