Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't specifically checked the FM signal strength, but there is indeed a lot of static noise when I try to use the radio. Could an antenna booster potentially help, or is that just a band-aid solution? What did you end up doing with your Astra?

Based on the presence of static noise, it's plausible that the antenna itself is compromised. An antenna booster might offer a marginal improvement, but it's unlikely to address the underlying defect. In my case, the root cause was indeed a defective antenna. Given the similarities, I recommend seeking a professional assessment at a reputable workshop. It is possible that the repair cost will be around 255€. This will enable a definitive diagnosis and proper rectification of the fault.

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice and sharing your experience! I'll take it to a workshop to get it checked out properly. Turns out it was indeed a defective antenna, exactly as you suspected. Replacing it solved all the problems!

Greetings. Your description is similar to an issue I encountered with my Opel Astra. Symptoms were identical: persistent error messages, complete audio system failure, and stored error codes pointing towards the radio module. Have you assessed the signal strength of the FM radio? Is there any static noise?
