Peugeot 107 Sun Blind Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Peugeot 107 has a sun blind that is stuck and won't retract or extend, with diagnostics indicating a possible defective motor. The issue is accompanied by a generic 'motor malfunction' error code. The suggested solution is to take the car to a workshop for professional repair, as the complexity of the issue may not be suitable for a DIY fix.

I checked for obstructions, found nothing. The error code was generic, just 'motor malfunction'. What was the resolution with your Astra?

Generic codes aren't helpful. My Astra's code was similar. I took it to a workshop. They confirmed a faulty motor. They advised against DIY due to complexity. I think you'll need a workshop too.

Thanks for sharing your Astra experience. A workshop visit seems best. I'll proceed and hope for a quick fix.

Sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my 2012 Opel Astra. Have you checked for obstructions? Did the error code give specific details about the motor or circuit?
