Peugeot 108 Bumper Antenna Error

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my 2019 Peugeot 108 gasoline. The car has 86555 km. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory related to the bumper antenna. Now, the unlocking and locking doesn't work properly, and the engine won't start without the key in the ignition. Could a defective cable or plug connection really cause all this?

Bumper antenna issue, huh? I had something similar with my 108. Is your radio signal also acting up? Could be signal interference. Check the antenna mount, is it properly grounded?

Radio signal seems fine, actually. The antenna mount looks okay at first glance. But could a faulty antenna really stop the engine from starting without the key? Sounds a bit extreme, doesn't it?

Yeah, it sounds extreme, but trust me, I had the exact same symptoms. Error memory, unlocking issues, the whole shebang. Took it to a workshop, they checked the antenna and the connections and that was it. You should do the same.

Okay, thanks for the insight. I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the connections. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable. Antenna repair cost me 95€. Everything works as expected now.
